St. Patrick’s Day

Monday, March 19th, 2007

I didn’t want the holiday weekend to end without encouraging you guys to read the history behind StPatricksDay.com. I first heard this story when I was in high school and I thought it was the most romantic story I had ever heard.

I still do.

Read it and find out why every girl in my high school class spent at least one Friday night praying to St. Patrick. I can vouch for its validity.

It’s more inspiring than Oprah and any “Secret” that she might know. Promise.

Segregation

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

An Irish Archbishop came out in support of continuing to segregate Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland’s school system.

Now, I’m against segregation in any form, but when the oppressed group is asking for the division so they can better educate their children, I have to stop and rethink my position.

Nope, it hasn’t changed.  As long as Catholics and Protestants insists on living apart in Northern Ireland, they’ll never truly live together.
