Bring The Celtic Tenors to your home for St Patrick’s Day

Tuesday, January 17th, 2012

I just finished listening to The Celtic Tenors new album “Feels Like Home” and it’s really a great album. It’s an easy listen and perfect for just relaxing to. Sit back in your favorite easy chair with your favorite beverage and just take a load off. The melodies are straight forward and unassuming, the pace relaxing, and the lyrics easy to follow.

If you’re like me and you love to discover new music, head on over to your favorite music store and give them a listen. I was able to find all their albums in the iTunes store, but I’m sure their also in others. I think you’re gonna like what you hear. After that, why not head to The Celtic Tenors website and enter to win a free concert and a chat via Skype. Here’s the URL: http://www.celtic-tenors.com/. Simply enter your email address for a chance to win.

I (heart) Bono. U2?

Thursday, December 7th, 2006

Dear Bono,

I have forgiven a lot over the years. The iPod commericial. The Rattle-n-Hum documentary. The perpetual soapbox. The entire Zooropa album. I even forgave you for marrying your childhood sweetheart, Ali, instead of waiting for a quirky, freckled-faced sixth grader from Chicago to come of age.

However, I’m not sure I can forgive the selection process behind the band’s latest album, U218. How does “Sweetest Thing” make it before “All I Want Is You” ? And, really,  “Mysterious Ways” before “Bad”? They boyish lads on the CD cover suggest it’ll contain music from the early years, yet there’s not much to be found. (Rememeber “Boy?” I do.)

You and the other three guys are still the coolest things to ever come out of north Dublin. I’m just not sure I need to plunk down $20 to remind you of that fact.

This time you’ll have to make it on your own.

Nellie

ps Seriously, “Mysterious Ways”?
